Scully Named Meridith Harmon Sauer Distinguished Professor of Theatre for 2023-2026
The University of Central Missouri College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences (CAHSS) is pleased to announce that Dr. Aaron Scully, assistant professor of theatre, has been named the Meridith Harmon Sauer Distinguished Professor of Theatre for 2023-2026.

'The Curtain Rises: Senior Showcase' Performances Planned in April at UCM and at Kansas City's Unicorn Theatre
The University of Central Missouri Division of Theatre and Dance presents “The Curtain Rises: Senior Showcase 2023” at 3 p.m. Thursday, April 13 at the Highlander Theatre on the UCM campus and at 7 p.m. Monday, April 24, on the Levin Stage at the Unicorn Theatre in Kansas City, Missouri.

Theatre and Dance and Music Present 'Little Women: The Musical' at Highlander Theatre April 6-9: ASL Interpreters Saturday Night
University of Central Missouri Theatre and Dance and UCM Music present “Little Women: The Musical” at the Highlander Theatre at 7:30 p.m. April 6, 7 and 8, and at 2 p.m. April 8 and 9. The April 9 matinee is Pay-What-You-Can (minimum $1). The show is family-friendly.

UCM Theatre and Dance, Music Present 'The Prom'
University of Central Missouri (UCM) Theatre and Dance and UCM Music present the new musical “The Prom.” Based on the movel by Bob Martin, book and lyrics by Chad Beguelin, and music by Matthew Sklar, the show runs during two weekends at the Highlander Theatre with curtain times at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday Nov 11-12 and Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Nov. 17-19. A matinee is planned for and at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13.

UCM Celebrates Highlander Theatre's 50th Anniversary, Ed See Outstanding Theatre Alumnus Award Presentation
The University of Central Missouri Division of Theatre and Dance will celebrate the Highlander Theatre’s 50th year on Friday, Nov. 19, prior to the evening performance of “Elf The Musical.” This event takes place on the same day that the theatre opened at UCM, with the production of “Hamlet” on Nov. 19, 1971.
