Invitation to City Leaders Provides Opportunity to Increase Understanding of Skyhaven's Role as Regional Airport From Ground, Birds-eye Perspectives

While the University of Central Missouri’s Max B. Swisher Skyhaven Airport has a long history of preparing students for aviation careers, the university is working with community leaders to give them an up-close and birds-eye perspective of the airport and its role in serving local and regional aviation needs.

Murray State Educator Assumes New Role Leading UCM Agriculture Programs

Michelle Mullins Santiago, Ph.D., an educator who has been actively engaged in teaching agribusiness and economics continuously since 2008, will join the University of Central Missouri as the chair of its academic agriculture program. UCM Provost and Vice President for Academic Affair Phil Bridgmon announced her appointment, noting that Santiago officially begins her new duties July 1, 2022.

ABC News Veteran, 'What Would You Do?' Host, John Quiñones, to Visit UCM

John Quiñones, ABC News veteran and creator and host of the popular “What Would You Do?” nationally televised program, will speak at the University of Central Missouri Wednesday, Feb. 23. His free presentation, made possible by the Center for Multiculturalism and Inclusivity, is open to the public and is the first talk in what the center hopes will become many conversations with distinguished visitors to UCM in the months ahead. Admission is free and the public is invited to attend this event at 7 p.m. in Nahm Auditorium, located in the W.C. Morris Science Building.
