The Honors College welcomes applications from faculty in all departments. Fellows are selected by The Honors College Advisory Board based on their proposed course’s experiential components, ability to challenge high achieving students, and interdisciplinary nature. Applicants should also demonstrate how their scholarship or creative activities informs their teaching.
In lieu of one of their department courses, fellows teach either:
These classes represent the highest level of engaged learning through experiential opportunities as chosen by the faculty and supported by the college. Classes can be offered in either the fall or spring semesters, but must meet primarily face-to-face.
Our fellows are active in their research or creative work, bringing this advanced level of expertise to their classes. To support their work, fellows are awarded professional development funds.
While expenses must follow university guidelines, these funds can be spent in a multitude of ways including the acquisition of supplies, travel-related expenses, and/or fieldwork costs.
