Spring 2021 Update (January 28, 2021)

Meeting and Conference Services would like to remind anyone filling out an event request that you must submit it at least 4 business days in advance of the event date.  Due to current COVID related policies, please request space for your event that will accommodate social distancing guidelines. As a reminder, all participants will be expected to follow University procedures, such as wearing facial coverings for the duration of the event. We look forward to assisting you with your meetings & events again this semester.

We have reconfigured, re-imagined, and realigned events to help ensure we are following CDC guidelines. We will utilize social distancing measures where feasible, and implement ticketing to help promote social distancing at large gatherings. Here are a few items worth noting regarding events as we begin the spring 2021 semester:

  • Please plan ahead as space is extremely limited this year.
  • Requests for event space will be made through the 25Live online system. If you do not have access, please complete the online training and take the quiz.

  • All room capacities have been updated in 25Live to account for social distancing.
  • Please select a room that is appropriate for the number of attendees you plan to have at your event.
  • Please do not move the tables and chairs, as they will be set to allow for social distancing. No tables and chairs can be added to academic classrooms and auditoriums.
  • If a room in the Union is set to the new capacity, no additional tables or chairs can be added.
  • Event sponsors must supply hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes for their events, especially if items will be shared by participants.
