A Message from the Chair Dr. David Kreiner

Welcome to the UCM Department of Psychological Science. We hope that you find our website to be a useful resource whether you are a current student, prospective student, or just interested in learning more about who we are and what we do.

We are a student-centered department. Our most successful students take full advantage of opportunities to collaborate with faculty and use our laboratory facilities. We are proud of our students' level of service to the university and surrounding communities through our student organizations, Psychology Club and Psi Chi.

We offer two undergraduate degree programs, the Bachelor of Arts and the Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Both of these programs include a strong core of required courses to cover the major areas of psychological science and include hands-on experiences. Interested students may pursue an undergraduate certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis. We also offer a minor in Psychology which allows a great deal of flexibility and can be completed online.

Our graduate program (M.S. in Psychology) is directed at students who are interested in preparing themselves for doctoral programs in Psychology as well as students who desire the Master's credential to extend their career possibilities. It is a General Psychology Master's program that includes core courses and a thesis. We strongly encourage Master's students to collaborate with faculty on research and we provide many opportunities to get involved.

If we can help you in any way, please contact the department office at 660 543-4185 or come by Lovinger 1111. We look forward to working with you.

Dr. David Kreiner, Professor and Chair
