Dr. Ament earned his Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology from the University of Nevada-Reno. His research examines the impact of undetected visual deficits on a variety of psychological, neuropsychological, personality, and academic factors. Dr. Ament's research also addresses human categorization memory processes. He teaches courses in Research Design and Analysis I and II, Statistics for the Behavioral Sciences, Physiological Psychology, Sensation-Perception, Cognitive Psychology, and Biological Basis of Behavior.

Dr. Carter earned his Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology from the University of Kansas. His graduate training included emphases in human memory and neuroanatomy and neurophysiology. Dr. Carter teaches courses including Physiological Psychology, Research Design & Analysis I and II, Sensation and Perception, and Human Sexuality.

Dr. Gordon earned his Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at the University of Texas-Austin. His primary academic interests include human sexuality, male psychology, sports psychology, as well as various intersections of psychology, identity, and culture. He teaches courses including General Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, and Adult Psychopathology.

Dr. Hwang earned her Ph.D. in Social Psychology from New Mexico State University. Her primary research goal is to identify, develop, and test new approaches and theories to solve a variety of societal problems, including sustainability, education, health, and inequality and related conflict. She teaches courses including Social Psychology, Social Bases of Behavior, Research Design & Analysis I and II, Psychology of Women, and Industrial-Organizational Psychology.

Dr. Jacobs earned her Ph.D. in School Psychology from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Research interests include suicide prevention, intervention, and postvention, measurement development, program evaluation, and innovative teaching methods. She teaches several courses including Statistics for the Behavioral Sciences, Research Methods, Advanced Methods and Analyses, and Lifespan Development.

Dr. Kemp earned his Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at Southern Illinois University-Carbondale. His research interests include multicultural counseling, neuropsychological assessment, factors which affect help-seeking tendencies and behavior and issues relating to African-American college students' matriculation to graduation. Dr. Kemp teaches courses including Personal Adjustment, Theories of Personality, and Multicultural Psychology.

Dr. Kreiner earned his Ph.D. in Human Experimental Psychology at the University of Texas-Austin. His research interests include cognitive psychology, particularly in language processing and memory, as well as research on the teaching of psychology. He teaches courses such as General Psychology, History of Psychology, and Advanced Statistics for the Behavioral Sciences.

Dr. Lundervold received his doctorate in Behavior Analysis and Behavior Therapy at the Rehabilitation Institute, Southern Illinois University-Carbondale. Work in Dr. Lundervold’s Behavioral Medicine lab includes basic and applied research on Behavioral Relaxation Training, mindfulness, treatment acceptability, and pain. He teaches courses including Learning, Cognitive-Behavioral Intervention, and Introduction to Applied Behavior Analysis.

His research interests include mentorship; spirituality; affect regulation; the effects of family of origin dynamics on adult functioning and trauma; and the development of self within the context of the environment. He teaches courses including Orientation to Psychology. General Psychology, Theories of Personality, and Abnormal Psychology.

Dr. Stark earned her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale. She is interested in applied research and diversity, including, for instance, sociocultural influences on the development of disordered eating, and vocational issues impacting disenfranchised groups (e.g., women and ethnic minorities). She teaches courses including General Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, and Ethics and Professional Issues in Psychology.
