UCM is serious about preventing assault, rape and sexual assault and harassment. Freshmen are required to take an online sexual violence program that addresses such issues. UCM also teaches self-defense tactics and techniques through the Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) System course. Learn more.
UCMAlerts powered by Everbridge allows UCM to contact campus community members about emergencies and incidents as they happen, keeping you informed about issues that may impact your safety or campus experience. UCMAlerts can be sent via text message, email, phone call and push notification.
UCM employees and students are automatically enrolled in UCMAlerts, and the public can sign up to receive notifications. Visit ucmo.edu/ucm-alerts to learn more.
Each night the Student Assistant Foot patrol and Escort (SAFE) Team patrols the UCM campus on foot to help deter crime. Members of the SAFE team are part-time, uniformed, student employees. You can request a SAFE Team escort on campus by calling (660) 543-4123.
The SAFE Team is available from 7 p.m. to 2:30 a.m., seven days a week, when UCM is in session during the regular academic year. Extended hours are available on weekends. Learn more.
