The University of Central Missouri is committed to providing a safe and transparent environment for all students, faculty, staff, and visitors. In accordance with federal law, we provide comprehensive data regarding campus safety and emergency procedures.


📜 The Jeanne Clery Act

In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, the Department of Public Safety publishes this report annually by October 1.

The report notifies the campus community of incidents and emergency situations occurring on:

  • UCM Property (Main Campus and University Farm)

  • Public Property immediately adjacent to the university

  • Sites owned or leased by the university


📊 What is Included in the Report?

The Annual Security and Fire Safety Report serves as a central resource for safety policies and historical data. It includes:

  • Three-Year Crime Statistics: Data on reportable crimes for the three most recent calendar years.

  • Fire Safety: Statistics for fires in on-campus student housing and descriptions of fire safety systems.

  • Safety Policies: Information on alcohol and drug policies, sexual assault education, and crime prevention programs.

  • Emergency Procedures: Guidelines for emergency response, evacuation, and the UCMAlert notification system.

  • Resource Directory: A list of support services available to the community during emergencies.
