If you have been the victim of a crime, your safety and well-being are our primary concerns. Please use the following guide to find the appropriate authorities and support services.
If you are currently in danger or need to report a crime, contact the agency responsible for the area where the incident occurred:

Reporting Options: You may contact the police, Student Experience & Engagement, or Housing staff. You can pursue campus disciplinary action regardless of whether you choose to file criminal charges.

Medical Help: If injured, call 911 or contact WMMC at (660) 747-2500.

Witnessing Violence: If you see domestic violence occurring on campus, call DPS at (660) 543-4123.
Seek medical treatment immediately if injured.
All on-campus assaults are investigated by the Department of Public Safety. Call (660) 543-4123 to request an officer.

Prevention: Most campus thefts are "opportunity thefts." Lock your doors and never leave property unattended.
Recovery: Maintain a record of serial numbers and descriptions. This allows police to enter items into national databases.

You may request a phone trace; however, you must be willing to sign a request form and assist in potential prosecution.
