Educational Benefits for Military and Veteran Students

In recognition of your service to our country, there are national, state and local benefits available to help you and your family pursue a higher education degree. At UCM, we are dedicated to helping you to achieve success in your pursuit of a degree and a post-military career.

UCM's Military Tuition Package is available to military service members, their legal dependents and veterans who are eligible for military tuition assistance or VA educational benefits and are degree-seeking students enrolled at UCM. This benefit exempts you from the per-credit-hour student fee, admissions, new student and parking permit fees. Your first step in receiving this and other benefits will be to complete the print Veterans Certification Request Form or fill out your Veterans Certificate on MyCentral each semester and submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid.

To apply for and discuss your eligibility for military or veteran benefits, please contact:

Troops to Teachers

Troops to Teachers was established in 1993 to assist transitioning Service members and veterans in
beginning new careers in public, charter and Bureau of Indian Affairs schools. The Department of
Defense program facilitates veterans’ successful transition to a teaching career by providing counseling,
