What you will study

With International Business as a major, you’ll complete a core set of general education and business classes. Develop a strong foundation of knowledge and skills in the finances, operations and challenges of modern companies. You’ll learn how business practices differ across cultures and what unique challenges companies face when they operate in a global business environment.

A key feature of UCM’s major in International Business is the modern language component. Some degrees in international business don’t require proficiency in a foreign language, but we believe that learning a new language imparts a crucial perspective on global cultures. Learning another language can also make you more competitive as a candidate for jobs in international business.

You’ll also have plenty of electives to tailor your undergraduate program to your interests. Some of the interdisciplinary courses you may take with International Business as a major are:

  • Intercultural Communication
  • Supply Chain and Operations Management
  • The Modern Middle East
  • International Marketing
  • Principles of Finance
