Teaching middle school is both challenging and rewarding. With an Engineering and Technology concentration in the BSE in Middle School-Junior High School degree program, your education will include both classroom instruction and “clinical” learning experiences that occur in actual middle school / junior high school classrooms. These experiences are designed to foster professional and personal growth and development The Engineering and Technology Teacher Education (ETTE) program at UCM will prepare you to teach construction, drafting, graphics, material processing, pre-engineering, and power and energy while you earn nationally certified pre-engineering program certifications. Your faculty are experienced middle level educators, providing both theory and practical application that translates directly to your success in the classroom and the field.
Middle School majors have one of the highest employment rates in teacher education among UCM graduates, and Engineering and Technology teachers have a 100% placement rate. You’ll be sought after by districts throughout Missouri and nationwide.
