The UCM Advantage Program

The UCM Advantage Program is an exciting opportunity for a select group of first year students who demonstrate promise but may not meet traditional admission criteria: the experience of attending a four-year university with the individualized supports needed to succeed. Each year, a select group of students will be invited to apply.

Participants in the program will have several advantages over traditionally admitted students at UCM including unique opportunities to get involved on campus, assistance with locating on campus employment, access to a learning specialist and support team who understand individual student needs, targeted academic coursework, tutoring and workshops, mentors and mentoring opportunities, and financial awards.

Current student, Morganne Kane says “UCM Advantage gave me the opportunity for a college experience at UCM. Everyone in the program is really nice and willing to help in any way they can. It’s structured really well...everything’s very organized, and they made it easy for you to know what you have to get done to be successful.”

Eligible students will receive a letter of invitation and be asked to complete a program application. After the applications have been reviewed, students will be notified of their conditional admission status. Seating in this program is limited, and not all students who apply will be admitted.

If you’re interested in joining this exciting program, please look over the program requirements and Frequently Asked Questions prior to submitting an application. We look forward to hearing from you!
