The Writing Center offers one-on-one writing instruction for all students at all stages of the writing process. This is a free, walk-in serviceavailable to all UCM students.

Walk-ins & Appointments
You are welcome to walk in and connect with a Writing Center tutor at any time. Most days, a tutor will be available whenever you arrive. However, during peak periods near mid-terms and finals, you may experience a wait.
9am-5pm, Monday-Friday are walk-in hours only. During these times, tutors meet with students on a first-come, first-serve basis.
To avoid waiting, you may schedule an appointment between 5-9pm, Monday-Thursday. Either call the Writing Center at 660-543-8972 or book an appointment online.
Online Writing Lab (OWL) is an e-mail tutoring service. It is ideal for students who live off campus or have busy schedules. You can connect with a tutor from any location and submit your paper at any time. See our Online Writing Lab guidelines for details.
