When it conducts the annual election of faculty to standing elective college committees, the College will ask full-time tenure-track and tenured faculty in the college to vote for 10 names from a list of the college’s full-time tenured faculty who have earned the rank of professor and are not department chairs. The fifteen faculty who receive the most votes will form the pool from which five faculty will be selected by those members of the College Promotion and Tenure Committee available at the time. The five selected faculty will form the college pre-hearing committee pursuant to BOG policy # 2.2.090 (located at www.ucmo.edu/upo/ ) for the specific dismissal for cause case referred by the provost. The five members of the informal pre-hearing committee cannot be parties to the complaint, have a personal interest in the case, or be a member of the department from which the faculty member being considered for termination, and must be available to serve at the time the case is to be investigated. The College Promotion and Tenure Committee will vote on which committee member should serve as chair and the person receiving the most votes will serve in this capacity.
