Lauren received her Master of Speech-Language Pathology degree from Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois. Lauren holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is licensed by the Missouri Board of Healing Arts. She is also a member of the Missouri Speech-Language-Hearing Association (MSHA). 

Lauren worked in a public elementary school for six years as a school speech-language pathologist serving students in kindergarten through eighth grade with a variety of communication needs. Prior to that, she spent two years serving a rural hospital providing a mixture of inpatient and outpatient speech, language, and swallowing services to both pediatric and adult patients. Lauren is passionate about collaboration between educators and clinicians to provide equity and access to services for students in need. Additionally, Lauren has interest in research concerning interprofessional practice between educators and clinical service providers, benefits of immersive language instruction through the use of mentor sentences and texts, and veteran access to cognitive therapy services for TBI. 

Lauren is an avid runner and enjoys reading as well as many sports and outdoor activities such as camping, soccer, hockey, and hiking with her husband (Lucas) and three children.
