'UCM Inclusivity Day' Oct. 10 Coincides with Worldwide Observance Celebrating Differences

Coinciding with “World Inclusion Day” on Monday, Oct. 10, the University of Central Missouri is hosting its own festivities thanks to a Student Government Association (SGA) referendum that was approved this semester by University President Roger Best. The first “UCM Inclusivity Day,” sponsored by the SGA, is planned for noon to 3 p.m. Monday at the quadrangle.

CASE District VI 'Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging in Advancement Work' Panel Includes Input from UCM President, Coordination from Staff

In an effort to further understanding of the value of making individuals feel welcome, valued and included in higher education, University of Central Missouri President Roger Best recently participated in a panel discussion on “Diversity, Equity Inclusion and Belonging in Advancement Work.” The panel, which also featured Dr. Susan B. Wilson, retired vice chancellor for diversity and inclusion at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, and UCM alumna Jessica Ramirez, ’99, vice president of advancement at Cleveland University-Kansas City, took place on June 23 at UMKC.
