UCM Follows CDC Guidance in Modifying Mask Requirement on Campus

he University of Central Missouri announced today that effective May 20, it will remove the on-campus face covering requirement for fully vaccinated individuals. The university made the decision after considering the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) most recent guidance and consulting with health experts.

JCCHS Offers COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic for UCM Students April 12

Johnson County Community Health Services (JCCHS), in collaboration with the UCM Health Center and School of Nursing, wants to help make that possible by offering a free vaccination clinic specifically for University of Central Missouri students and their dependents who are age 16 or older from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 12 at the Multipurpose Building in Warrensburg. All UCM students are eligible for the vaccine, regardless of where they may live or whether or not they are taking in-person or online courses.

Federal Funds will Help Provide Grants to UCM Students Affected by COVID-19

To assist students who have been financially impacted by COVID-19, the University of Central Missouri is receiving approximately $3.5 million in the second round of Higher Education Emergency Relief Funds (HEERF II made possible through the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2021).

Responding to a need in the University of Central Missouri community, members of Kappa Delta Pi education honor society recently provided a $300 donation to the Campus Cupboard to purchase food items for UCM students and employees who face financial hardships.
