The University of Central Missouri today announced that Phil Bridgmon, Ph.D., provost and vice president for academic affairs, has received a Fulbright U.S. International Education Administrator award to India from the United States Department of State and the Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board. Bridgmon is among approximately 10 U.S. citizens who will take part in the India-Nehru IEA program in March 2024.

Honors highlighting outstanding creative achievements were received in both the Educational Advertising Awards and the Collegiate Advertising Awards competitions, including submissions ranging from small institutions to some of the largest and most prestigious colleges and universities in the country and abroad.

Selections were partially based on factors that included high enrollment rates and high average test scores for UCM students.

UCM emeriti member Walt Hicklin on March 22 became the first recipient of this new service award that has been established in his name.

This record-setting achievement was reached with the help of 50 mules and their riders during UCM’s Homecoming parade Saturday, Oct. 23, in Warrensburg, Missouri.
