Summer Air Force Junior ROTC Flight Academy Brings High School Students to UCM in Pursuit of Private Pilot's Certification
Only a year after many of them received their driver’s licenses, a group of young men and women who have been inspired and encouraged to pursue aviation careers will soon earn their Private Pilot’s Certification after successfully completing an eight-week summer program at the University of Central Missouri.

The University of Central Missouri and Lee’s Summit Velocity are hosting an Experience Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality Studio Open House to showcase the university’s new Mixed Reality Studio, located at UCM’s Lee’s Summit campus. The free event will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 17.

UCM Follows CDC Guidance in Modifying Mask Requirement on Campus
he University of Central Missouri announced today that effective May 20, it will remove the on-campus face covering requirement for fully vaccinated individuals. Plummer Receives Highest Honor for UCM Professional Staff, the Mees Award
Plummer was honored publicly during the Staff Appreciation Breakfast May 12 in the Elliott Student Union. An important member of the University of Central Missouri Department of Public Safety has officially retired. Echo, a male German Shepherd who has been a part of the Canine (K-9) Unit for approximately eight years, was retired from Public Safety due to health reasons.
