Neal, Goreham and Lewis Are First Recipients of Education for Service Awards

For approximately 100 years, the University of Central Missouri’s “Education for Service” motto has embodied the essence of UCM, and exemplifies all that the institution does to prepare its students to graduate and enter the world as global citizens. In the spirit of this longstanding commitment, three individuals this spring were named recipients of the first Education for Service Awards.

S&P Global Ratings Assign UCM 'A+' Long-term Rating for Fifth Year

The University of Central Missouri has received a long-term rating of “A+” by Standard & Poor’s (S&P) Global Ratings for the fifth consecutive year regarding its Missouri Health & Educational facilities Authority’s series 3013C, 2018A and 2018B educational facilities bonds. In addition, as a result of UCM’s dedication to sound financial operations, the rating includes an improved outlook, going from “negative” to “stable”.

Students in the University of Central Missouri’s Design and Drafting Technology program recently engaged in a project that not only provided them with real-world experience but also supported the university’s strong relationship with Whiteman Air Force Base. Their presentation on the redesign of The Ozark Dining Facility at WAFB brought base representatives and campus members together to hear the students’ final proposal for renovations to a space they believe will positively resonate with users.

UCM Students' Bra Couture KC Creations Help Raise Money for Cancer Patients

University of Central Missouri students in two academic programs combined their efforts to help individuals raise more than $525,000 to assist cancer patients during the annual Bra Couture KC charity auction. One student’s creation fetched a whopping $10,000 from a bidder who wanted to support this charitable program to help Kansas Citians in need of financial support.

With help from a production team that includes University of Central Missouri graduate Grant Curtis, a new spotlight is shining on this unique character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
