Move in. Get connected. You've got this.
Set up the technology you will use every day, from Wi-Fi and smart devices to your Mule Card, Duo, classes, email and library resources.
Welcome to campus!
Moving in is busy enough without technology getting in the way. Use this page as your quick starting point. Each topic includes a short explanation and a link to the full instructions when you are ready to set it up.
Helpful to have nearby

Work through these in any order. Wi-Fi, your UCM account and Duo are the best first steps because you will use them to reach most other UCM services.
Get your everyday devices on UCM Wi-Fi so you can study, message friends and use campus services without burning through mobile data.
Devices that cannot use the regular UCM sign-in page need to be registered first. This includes many smart TVs, consoles, Roku and Fire TV devices.
Your Mule Card is more than an ID. Use it for campus dining and retail, residence hall and facility access, UCM events and other campus services. The Mule Post can help you get it set up.
Add funds online and use your Mule Card at participating campus dining and retail locations. Dining Dollars and Central Cash remain available from semester to semester while you are enrolled.
Forgot your password? Start at the UCM Single Sign-On page, select Forgot Password, and enter your Network ID. UCM will send a reset link to the personal email address connected to your student record. After you create a new password, close any older sign-in pages before trying again.
Duo adds a second check when you sign in and helps protect your UCM account. The Duo Mobile app is the recommended option, and push notifications make approving a sign-in quick.
Use your UCM account to reach library databases, articles, research guides, study room reservations and help from a librarian. Every UCM student has a library account.
A few more essentials
Make your first week easier
These are easy to overlook during move-in, but setting them up now can save stress
when classes begin.
UCM email is the university’s official way to contact students. Check it regularly for messages about classes, advising, enrollment, holds and other important campus information.
Brightspace is where instructors may post course materials, assignments, grades and announcements. Sign in through UCM Single Sign-On using your Network ID, password and Duo.
MyCentral is your hub for enrollment, housing, financial services and campus announcements. It is worth bookmarking and checking regularly.
Unexpected sign-in links, urgent requests and messages asking for passwords should slow you down. When something feels wrong, do not click. Contact the Technology Support Center and ask.
One important residence hall reminder: Personal wireless routers are not permitted because they can interfere with the campus network. Register smart devices through UCM instead.
Real people. Real help.
You do not have to figure it out alone. The Technology Support Center can help with UCM accounts, Wi-Fi, Duo and other university technology.
