Annual Banquet

Each spring the Department of Psychological Science holds its annual banquet, co-sponsored by Psi Chi and the Psychology Club.  The banquet includes a State of the Department Address by the department chair and recognition of an outstanding undergraduate and an outstanding graduate student. Scholarship recipients are also recognized.

The 2016 banquet will be held at the Elk's Lodge on Wednesday, April 20, beginning at 5:30 pm. Tickets must be purchased in advance (no later than April 8) from the department office in Lovinger 1111 ($8 per ticket). Everyone is welcome and guests are fine, but please purchase your tickets so that we can get an accurate count. Call us at 660 543-4185 if you have any questions.

The Spring, 2015 banquet was held on Wednesday, April 8 at the Elk's Lodge in Warrensburg. Approximately 100 students, faculty, emerti faculty, and alumni attended. Mr. George Lombardi received the Department's Outstanding Alumni Award.

The recipient of the Joseph J. Ryan Graduate Scholarship was Kristin Whited.

The Jeff Brown Leadership Awards were presented to Sara Hancock, Bernadette Spooner, and Natalie Singleton.

Jonathan Nauser was recognized as the College of Health, Science, and Technology nominee for the Reid Hemphill Outstanding Graduate Student Award.

College of Health Science and Technology Faculty Awards were presented to:

  • Dr. Arthur Kemp for Service

Professor Appreciation Awards were presented to each faculty member. Emeriti faculty were also recognized.
