By earning a Bachelor of Music Education degree with an vocal emphasis at the University
Central Missouri, you’ll be prepared to teach K through 12 music or to go on to a variety of
musical careers. You’ll develop your skills as a performer and conductor while enjoying
opportunities to study diverse topics in music, from musicology and theory to jazz and
cutting-edge technology. You’ll benefit from an outstanding faculty of performers,
composers, and scholars who regularly appear on stage around the world. You’ll have the
opportunity to participate in a wide range of performing groups and take part in more than
100 recitals, concerts and other musical performances each year.
