Kacey Kennedy | Music Education and Voice

Kacey Kennedy is a music educator who has taught at every level, most extensively in choral music education. She brings nearly a decade of public school experience with her where she taught students in a variety of contexts including choir, guitar, general music, and music theory. 

Dr. Kennedy holds undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral degrees in music education. She cares deeply about the future of music education and the preparation and success of future music educators. Her primary research interests center on music literacy, music teacher pedagogy, and undergraduate music teacher education curriculum. She has published articles in Missouri School Music Magazine and the Journal of Popular Music Education and has presented research at regional, national, and international conferences. 

Dr. Kennedy joined the faculty at UCM in the fall of 2026 and resides in Warrensburg with her family.
