Financing Your Workforce Courses

UCM WIOA Catalog

Workforce and Professional Education programs are awarded Continuing Education Units (CEUs) and are considered non-credit and do not qualify for Federal Financial Aid.  However, there are other state, local and private agencies available to help.

  • Search for WIOA scholarship approved certificate programs. To find out if you're eligible for a scholarship, please contact your local job center or reference the contacts listed below.
    • Approved certificates can be found in the catalog above and are also cross listed on the Division of Workforce Development's MoScores.

  • In addition, Sallie Mae’s Scholarship Search provides free access to more than six million scholarships worth up to $30 billion. Register and be entered to win $1,000 for college.

  • While professional education courses are not eligible for federal financial aid, the following private education loans are available to students enrolled in WIOA.

    • Sallie Mae Smart Option Student Loan - This loan is available to students enrolled full-time, half-time, and less than half-time.
