Some positions on campus require an applicant to take a keyboarding test. If a position has a keyboarding speed requirement, a candidate's keyboarding score must meet or exceed the required words-per-minute or the candidate's name will be removed from the search.
The keyboarding test is administered Mon. through Fri., 9 a.m. - 4 p.m., in the Office of Human Resources. An appointment is not necessary to take the test. Candidates who need special accommodations to take the test should contact the Office of Human Resources in advance. Candidates may take the test twice per month, and not more than two days in a row. Each candidate may take the keyboarding test once per day. All candidates will be required to provide photo identification prior to taking the test.
Keyboarding scores will be recorded on the online application. If an applicant's keyboarding score on file does not meet the words-per-minute required for the position then he/she would need to retest.
Please see the position announcements for keyboarding test requirements as well as other minimum qualifications, working conditions, and basic functions of the positions. If you have any questions, please contact Human Resources.
