Career Support Workshop for Service Members, Veterans, Spouses Announced

Return With Purpose, a free workshop that will help military personnel and veterans identify barriers in order to make a smooth transition from active duty to civilian life and career planning, is offered from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, at the University of Central Missouri. Registration is being accepted through July 25 for this one-day session, which takes place in Room 101 of the Elliott Student Union.

The board also approved its officers for Fiscal Year 2017, as well as a contract award for aviation insurance, contract for international collection services, and master service agreement for job order contracting services.

S&P's 'A+' Bond Rating Reflects UCM's Strong Credit Fundamentals

A positive indication of the University of Central Missouri’s financial stability and ability to manage credit came in May as Standard & Poor’s Global ratings announced it has revised UCM’s rating on Missouri Health & Educational Authority’s bonds from "A" to “A+." This applies to the security for the series 2012A revenue bonds, which were issued to refinance the University Housing system energy savings project and library facility construction; series 2013B-2 bonds issued for improvements at Audrey J. Walton Stadium at Vernon Kennedy Field; and series 2013C-2 educational facilities revenue bonds to help construct The Crossing–South at Holden student housing-retail project.
