Lewandowski Receives Third Prestigious Fulbright Award

While a University of Central Missouri administrator prepares to serve an overseas appointment made possible through a prestigious Fulbright grant, UCM is making plans to temporarily fill his on-campus duties with help from a nine-year faculty member who has a diverse background of service to the university.

Former Texas Educator Assumes Lead Role at UCM-Lee's Summit

Lisa London, a resident of Fairway, Kan., who has more than 13 years of success in educational program development and university administration in Texas, has been named Director of UCM-Lee’s Summit, the University of Central Missouri’s extended campus facility serving the Kansas City metropolitan area. She begins her duties Nov. 30.

National Prevention Award Recognizes UCM, Whiteman, Community Partnership

One of only four programs in the nation to be recognized, Community Culture of Responsible Choices, a coalition which includes representation from the University of Central Missouri, Whiteman Air Force Base, and Johnson County communities, has received a 2015 National Exemplary Award for Innovative Substance Abuse Prevention Programs, Practices, and Policies.

Workshop Dec. 5 at UCM Helps Veterans Transition to Civilian Life

A free event that continues to provide valuable knowledge for individuals wanting to transition from military to civilian life, the day-long Return With Purpose workshop is coming back to the University of Central Missouri Saturday, Dec. 5. The one-day session is from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Elliott Student Union, Room 101.
