University of Central Missouri, Warrensburg Police to Formalize Overnight Campus Patrol Agreement

The University of Central Missouri (UCM) and the Warrensburg Police Department (WPD) plan to sign a memorandum of understanding that puts WPD officers on campus for overnight patrols beginning Sept. 1, backed by a UCM Department of Public Safety (DPS) officer on call every night to maintain continuous coverage.

The University of Central Missouri (UCM) will welcome nearly 1,000 new students and their families to campus on Thursday, Aug. 14, as part of UCM Kickoff, marking the start of the fall semester. Residence hall move-in activities will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and local residents should anticipate increased traffic volume, especially near campus and along South Maguire Street, where ongoing road construction may further impact travel.
