The flexibility of earning your Marketing BSBA

In-person classes are held on our Warrensburg campus. However, knowing students have different needs, we also offer an online program option for our accredited Business degree in Marketing. 

Our online Marketing program helps you balance other responsibilities and allows you to complete courses in an accelerated format: eight-week courses instead of the typical 16. No matter your path, expect to gain the knowledge, skills and professional certifications necessary to excel in your marketing career.

What you will study

Gain a solid foundation of various business facets before taking a deep dive into marketing principles and strategies. Depending on your interests, you can take field-specific classes often found in bachelor’s degree in marketing management programs to fulfill electives and specialize your BSBA from UCM even further. All classes online or in person are taught by award-winning faculty in both teaching and research.

  • State-of-the art labs: Our State Farm Sales Lab includes multiple rooms outfitted with video recording and playback equipment. Many UCM marketing classes, including those for sales as well as Professional Speaking and Presentation, use this technology to help students sharpen their communication, marketing and sales skills. A virtual reality lab creates an interactive and immersive classroom environment that demonstrates the role VR can play in marketing.
  • UCM DECA: DECA is a collegiate organization focused on leadership, professionalism, ambition and tradition. With over 300 awards at the state and international level, UCM DECA has earned its place among the fastest growing collegiate DECA chapters.
  • A dedicated focus group facility: UCM’s dedicated facility for hosting focus groups enables you to observe consumers as they use a product or discuss an advertisement, as examples, for market research.
  • Annual sales competitions: UCM hosts two sales competitions each year – one sponsored by State Farm and one by Fastenal. We also offer opportunities to compete against students earning a degree in marketing management, sales and related programs in the National Collegiate Sales Competition and the International Collegiate Sales Competition. Some competitions offer opportunities to earn scholarships or other financial rewards.
  • American Marketing Association (AMA) student membership: The UCM chapter of AMA provides students with opportunities to network with other marketing majors, alumni and marketing professionals. As a member of AMA, you could attend special events such as the St. Louis AMA Conference or the AMA International Collegiate Conference.
  • ENACTUS student group: This student-led group at UCM is committed to transforming lives and creating positive community impact through entrepreneurial action. For example, ENACTUS hosts a children’s literature event every December. Become a member for opportunities like this to gain leadership experience while enhancing and broadening your marketing knowledge and skill set.
  • Delta Sigma Pi: Available to all business majors, Delta Sigma Pi is a co-educational business fraternity that develops members in professional skills, leadership, ethics, and service.
