About the Study Abroad Program

Schedule Advising

Students can schedule their advising appointment by stopping by Elliott Union 302, calling 660-543-4195, or emailing intlprog@ucmo.edu. UCM Study Abroad is happy to accommodate students who prefer to meet in person, virtually, or over the phone.

Discover A Global Perspective

The University of Central Missouri is committed to cultivating a global perspective among its students, faculty, and staff. We do that by welcoming international students to UCM from nearly 50 countries—and by offering an extensive array of study abroad and exchange programs. Each year, we place over 200 students in study abroad programs throughout the world. We’re also one of the few universities in the country to offer generous scholarships and grants to support your study abroad journey.

Choose Your Experience

With the experience and advising of our study abroad staff, you can design your own study abroad experience. The options are both broad and deep. You can choose from more than 60 countries—from Italy to China and South Korea to Costa Rica. You can also choose from hundreds of courses in arts, sciences, business, marketing, modern languages, and many more. And of course, you also decide the duration of your study abroad experience—from two weeks to an entire academic year.

Earn College Credit

When studying abroad, you’ll continue to earn UCM credit and stay on track to complete your degree in four years.

Faculty-Led Programs

Travel to another country with your instructor and classmates and immerse yourself in the language and culture.
