Thanks for taking the time to help! Finding a way to integrate Green Dot into your work cannot be easier with the help of these toolkits provided by Green Dot. The toolkit outlines several different ways you can live the Green Dot in your position here at the University of Central Missouri.

Faculty Toolkit

The toolkit provides faculty with additional ways to be proactive in creating a culture intolerant of violence and believes we can each do our part. You will find activities, assignments, and discussion topics to help generate ideas. If you are seeking a short boiler plate to put in your syllabus, please use the text below;

The University of Central Missouri is committed to creating a culture that is intolerant of violence and believes that each of us can do our part to reduce and eliminate violence. I support our Green Dot initiative that teaches bystander intervention to equip our students with the skills to intervene in high risk situations. I believe each student deserves a safe environment to pursue an education, and I understand the devastating impact forms of power-based personal violence (i.e. sexual assault, dating/domestic violence, and stalking) may have. If you or someone you know has experienced some form of power-based personal violence you can find confidential resources with the following:

24 Hour Victim Advocate: The Mentoring, Advocacy and Peer Support office offers as a confidential resource for those who have experienced sexual violence, harassment, intimate partner violence and stalking through a 24 hour hotline. Contact the hotline by calling 660- 441-4855 or visit them at Dockery 212.

Counseling Center: The Counseling Center offers free confidential personal and social support through their licensed counselors. Contact them at 660-543-4060 or visit Humphreys 131 to schedule a meeting. Hours: M-F, 8:00am-12:00pm, 1:00pm-5:00pm.

University Health Center: The Health Centers offers non-emergency medical care for injuries and follow-up appointments. Contact them at 660-543-4770 or visit them at 600 South College Avenue. Hours: M-F, 8:00am-12:00pm, 1:00pm-5:00pm.

Administrative Staff Toolkit

In order to effectively reduce and eliminate violence on our campus there needs to be support from top administrators. The toolkit provides manageable ways an administrative staff member may show their support for Green Dot and the value of creating a culture that is intolerant of violence and believes we can each do our part in prevention.

Student Affairs and Staff Toolkit

Unexpected messengers play a key role in violence reduction on our college campuses. The toolkit provides practical and manageable ways staff members can use their role to promote Green Dot and the value that violence is not tolerated and we can each do our part in violence prevention.

Residential Life Toolkits

These toolkits provide additional activities CA’s can use to engage their floors or halls in actively learning and practicing bystander invention skills. Residential Life staff should seek support from the VSAP office before planning to lead the activities due to the sensitive nature of power-based personal violence. Please contact to request assistance using the activities listed below..

  1. Residence life sexual assault activity

  2. Residence life dating violence activity

  3. Residence life stalking activity

  4. Residence life follow up activity

Faculty, Staff, and Administrative Proactive Toolkit

The shorter toolkit gives faculty, staff, and administrators a few examples of Reactive, Proactive, and supporting measures they can take to show their support Green Dot and their belief in a campus that is intolerant of violence.
