UCM Plans Deployment of Intuitive, Multi-Feature Phone System This Spring

The University of Central Missouri will deploy a new Unified Communications/Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP) system this spring that gives campus telephone users access to features that include Bluetooth capability, improved audio quality, single number reach, and the ability to make video calls.

KMOS-TV Open House Unveils New Master Control Facility

KMOS-TV, the University of Central Missouri’s public broadcasting station, will host an open house from 3-5 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, to showcase the station’s renovated master control facility. KMOS-TV is located in the Patton Broadcasting Center in Wood 11 on the UCM campus.

The University of Central Missouri and the Greater Warrensburg Area Chamber of Commerce recognized Warrensburg resident Doug Christie and Warrensburg High School sophomore Gabrielle Shull with the 2017 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Service Awards at the monthly Chamber of Commerce luncheon Thursday, Jan. 12.

Beth Tankersley-Bankhead, director of postsecondary initiatives for the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, Kansas City, has been named the keynote speaker for the University of Central Missouri’s 2017 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Freedom Scholarship Dinner, planned for 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2017, in the Elliott Union ballroom.
