UCM On-base Courses Convenient for Adult Learners Begin This Month at WAFB

The University of Central Missouri and Whiteman Air Force Base recently approved an agreement that will bring UCM’s industry-recognized certificate courses to military-connected students as well as military spouses. The courses start this month, and are a convenient method for adult learners to take courses at Whiteman AFB.

UCM Theatre and Dance Presents World Premier of "VOUCHer; or, That PTA Play" By Benjamin Gonzales; ASL Interpreter on Feb. 24 and Sunday Matinee is Pay-What-You-Can

WARRENSBURG, MO – University of Central Missouri Theatre and Dance presents “VOUCHer; Or, That PTA Play” by Benjamin Gonzales. The play is on the lighter side of a dark comedy and follows the comings and goings of a group of dedicated parents as they work to hold their dwindling PTA group together. The play performs at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday Feb. 24-26 and at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 27. ASL Interpreters will be available at the Thursday, Feb. 24 show, and the Sunday matinee is pay-what-you-can. This play is for mature audiences only.

Donald Johanson, Internationally Known Discoverer of 'Lucy,' will Present Public Lecture at UCM

Known worldwide for his role in the ground-breaking discovery of “Lucy,” which researchers consider a direct ancestor to humankind,, paleoanthropologist Donald Johanson, Ph.D., will make a public presentation at the University of Central Missouri on Monday, March 28. His lecture is free and open to the public, and begins at 7 p.m. in Hendricks Hall, located on the second floor of the Administration Building. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
