Mr. Pearson’s presentation is based on his personalized acronym D.I.V.E.R.S.I.T.Y and his book, “Just Because I am...Doesn’t Mean – what you think but never say.” The focus of his presentation is how to Survive Change, Create Culture, and Unite the Divide. This workshop addresses the real meaning of excellence in communication, leadership and self-esteem. Our commitment to leadership and diversity is a daily process that starts in the morning when we wake up and is affected by our daily routines and expectations; however, sometimes we have a glitch in our system. This program will help identify that glitch and help put us into overdrive. During the program you will laugh, think, focus and evaluate your current leadership position and take yourself to the next level! It’s great for everyone.
Our leadership committee would like to personally invite all UCM faculty, staff, and students to attend our IMPACT events. We would like to encourage faculty to promote our events among their students and incorporate these events into their curriculum. If you have any questions about these events, or need additional information, please contact Kevin Hurst, Emily Bergsieker, or Beth Rutt in the Office of Student Activities at (660) 543-4007 or visit us in Union 217.
