UCM Board of Governors Sets FY2021 Tuition, Fees

Taking into consideration a likely decrease in state appropriations while also striving to keep higher education affordable, the University of Central Missouri’s Board of Governors has approved a recommendation to limit total tuition and mandatory fees to a 2.3 percent increase for Fiscal Year 2021. Board action took place during a special virtual plenary session on May 13.

Board of Governors Authorizes New Broadcast Transmitter Purchase

In a meeting by telephone March 26, the University of Central Missouri Board of Governors approved the purchase of a new broadcast transmitter for UCM’s public television station, KMOS-TV, and authorized an agreement for on-call kitchen replacement and maintenance repair services.

Governor Appoints Prominent Sedalia Businessman to UCM's Governing Board

Ken Weymuth, a third-generation business owner from Sedalia, has been named to the University of Central Missouri’s Board of Governors. Missouri Gov. Mike Parson announced the appointment, which will be effective through Jan. 1, 2025, pending Missouri Senate confirmation.

Board Sets Room and Board Rates Among Several Action Items

Among several action items on a busy agenda, the University of Central Missouri Board of Governors set student room and board rates for 2016-2017 when it met on campus March 18. Other items approved by the board included the purchase of new equipment for the Student Recreation and Wellness Center, improvements to the South Plaza entry area of Audrey J. Walton Stadium, the award of a contract for dredging Lake Cena, and upgraded fire alarm system for Nattinger-Bradshaw Hall.

Board Sets FY17 Academic, General Fees, Approves Academic Programs

In addition to setting instructional and general education fees at the current level for the 2016-2017 academic year, pending legislative approval of the Missouri Governor’s proposed increase in state appropriations for higher education, the University of Central Missouri Board of Governors approved six new academic programs and three academic program revision requests when it met in plenary session Feb. 12.

Actions taken by the Board of Governors Feb. 12 will enable the University of Central Missouri to make continued progress toward enhancing the quality of the campus learning and living environment while also extending its educational outreach to more than 1 million Missourians.
