'The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time' Includes 'Pay-What-You-Can' Sunday Matinee, ASL Interpreter Oct. 10, Sensory Sensitivity Performance Oct. 14

University of Central Missouri Theatre and Dance will present the 2015 Tony Award-winning drama, “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time.” Based on the best-selling book of the same name written by Mark Haddon and adapted for the stage by Simon Stephens, this play follows a neurodivergent boy as he tries to solve the mystery concerning the death of his neighbor’s dog.

UCM BS in Software Engineering is First Such Program in Missouri to Earn Prestigious ABET Accreditation

A designation assuring students that their education meets critical standards to prepare them for the STEM global workforce, the University of Central Missouri’s Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering recently received ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology) accreditation. It is the first program of its kind in Missouri to receive this designation.

UCM Faculty Research Article in 'Journal of Multidisciplinary Healthcare' Demonstrates Perceived Psychological Impact of COVID-19 on 'College Athletes'

For college athletes and members of other student groups the perceived anxiety surrounding the beginning of a new academic year in times of COVID-19 evokes emotions some students equate with those associated with major events such as a significant injury, surgery, or even losing a loved one. These are among the findings reported in a recent research paper published in the “Journal of Multidisciplinary Healthcare” conducted by a research team that included three University of Central Missouri faculty members, a former graduate assistant, and a faculty member at an Ohio institution.
