With the theme, “Giving a Helping Hand to Achieve the Dream,” the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. will be honored by the University of Central Missouri in January 2021 through service and volunteer efforts that include faculty, staff, student and community participation.

Events Marketing and Management Majors and RISE Team Up for Community Event

Students in the Events Management course, a class offered through the Events Marketing and Management Major in the University of Central Missouri Harmon College of Business and Professional Studies recently finalized a proposal with RISE Community Services in Warrensburg for a fundraising event in 2021. The event is currently titled Puzzle Palettes and will give community members an opportunity to help support efforts to aid individuals with autism.

S&P Global Ratings Assign UCM 'A+' Long-term Rating for Fourth Year

The University of Central Missouri has received a long-term rating of “A+” by Standard & Poor’s Global Ratings for the fourth consecutive year regarding its Missouri Health & Educational facilities Authority’s series 3013C, 2018A and 2018B educational facilities bonds. While the rating reflects UCM’s dedication to sound financial operations, the rating outlook reflects financial pressures facing the university.

KMOS-TV Awarded Grant to Develop, Promote PBS Docuseries "American Portrait - The Story of Us"

KMOS-TV applied for and has been awarded a $15,000 American Portrait grant to showcase a population that often goes under served and under seen. KMOS-TV has partnered with West-Central Independent Living Solutions (WILS) and Services for Independent Living (SIL) of Columbia to help gather user-generated content for this program by highlighting individuals with disabilities in central Missouri.
