As she looks to a new chapter in her life, soon to retire as dean of the University of Central Missouri’s College of Health, Science and Technology, Alice Greife, Ph.D., has a few simple but powerful suggestions for UCM graduates. While she encourages them to dream big, even more important, she challenges them to become “doers” in pursuit of their dreams.

UCM Follows CDC Guidance in Modifying Mask Requirement on Campus
he University of Central Missouri announced today that effective May 20, it will remove the on-campus face covering requirement for fully vaccinated individuals. The university made the decision after considering the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) most recent guidance and consulting with health experts.

Plummer Receives Highest Honor for UCM Professional Staff, the Mees Award
Plummer was honored publicly during the Staff Appreciation Breakfast May 12 in the Elliott Student Union. His recognition was one of two awards presented during the program, which also included an opportunity to learn more about staff achievements throughout 2020-2021 and to introduce newly elected members of the Staff Council.

UCM Public Safety K-9 Unit, Echo, Retired from Active Duty
An important member of the University of Central Missouri Department of Public Safety has officially retired. Echo, a male German Shepherd who has been a part of the Canine (K-9) Unit for approximately eight years, was retired from Public Safety due to health reasons.
