Federal Funds will Help Provide Grants to UCM Students Affected by COVID-19
To assist students who have been financially impacted by COVID-19, the University of Central Missouri is receiving approximately $3.5 million in the second round of Higher Education Emergency Relief Funds (HEERF II made possible through the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2021).

Lu Li, a graduate student in the Occupational Safety Management program at the University of Central Missouri, has recently been named as the 2020 recipient of the American Society of Safety Professionals Greater Chicago Chapter Safety Professional of the Year Award.

2021 President's Gala April 12 Virtually Showcases Collaboration Between UCM Students, Faculty, Alumni
An opportunity to celebrate collaboration between University of Central Missouri faculty members, students and alumni while benefiting the School of Visual and Performing Arts is planned for 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, April 12 as UCM President Roger J. Best, Ph.D., revives the President’s Gala.

UCM Theatre and Dance Launches New Play Series
A weekend of live entertainment is planned as University of Central Missouri Theatre and Dance presents its first presentation of the New Play Series at 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 26 and Saturday, March 27 at James L. Highlander Theatre. While the series is performed on stage, and admission is free, presentations also will be available via livestream for those who would like to experience the series remotely. This weekend, the series will feature 11 new works written by current UCM students.

KMOS-TV to Feature Five Unique Programs to Spark Conversation About Aging
Beginning March 24, and running through April, the University of Central Missouri’s public television station KMOS-TV will air and feature five unique programs designed to spark conversation and thought about aging. KMOS-TV is proud to partner with other producers to showcase programs aimed at debunking myths about aging, providing inspirational stories, and resources for all of us as we age.

UCM Gallery of Art and Design Presents 53rd Annual Student Citation Show
The University of Central Missouri Gallery of Art and Design is exhibiting its 53rd annual Student Citation Show March 22-April 3. The citation show will feature art from UCM students who are majoring or minoring in an art degree program. Over 30 recognitions, awards and scholarships will be distributed to students who excel in design and studio artwork.

UCM's 150th Year Includes Historic Campus Tour and Ghost Buildings of the Great Fire
Part of the University of Central Missouri’s great history is linked to the many buildings where members of the campus community live, learn and work.
