Additional Information for Graduate Students

ONLY STUDENTS WHO PARTICIPATE IN THE COMMENCEMENT CEREMONY WILL BE GIVEN A DIPLOMA COVER.

Acquire Caps and Gowns

All graduation candidates, caps and gowns will be available for pick-up beginning October 16, 2017 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., at the University Store-The Crossing. Distribution continues daily during regular store hours. Photo ID and Regalia order form are required. Regalia forms are found in MyCentral on the "Student Services" page and can be printed at the bookstore or from any campus computer.

University Store-The Crossing will also be open 9:00 a.m.- 6:00 p.m. on Friday, December 8th and on Saturday, December 9th from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for cap and gown pickup. For more information call the University Store at 660-543-4227. Inquiries via e-mail can be directed to ucmbookstore@ucmo.edu.

Assembly Areas

Graduate candidates in academic regalia (hoods and gowns) - will line-up in the designated area marked by your college.

Undergraduate candidates in academic regalia (caps and gowns) will assemble on the second floor of the Multipurpose Building 30 minutes prior to your allotted ceremony time.

A graduate student becomes eligible for graduation by meeting all requirements for the degree. Included among the requirements, a student must:

 

How will I know if I have not met all my requirements for graduation?

It will be important that you monitor your UCM email account and MyCentral messages closely. When you apply for graduation an evaluation showing remaining degree requirements is emailed to candidates. A mid-semester check is done during your final semester and any deficiencies are emailed to candidates and posted in MyCentral Personal Announcements. At the end of the semester, a final check is done and any deficiencies are emailed, mailed, and posted in MyCentral Personal Announcements. Numerous additional informative emails are also sent to graduation candidates. It is the responsibility of the student to contact the Registrar's Office to be placed on a future graduation list if removed from the current graduation list due to deficiencies.
