Fall Commencement Schedule

Please note:

All 2021 Fall degree candidates are invited to participate in Fall Commencement ceremonies being held Friday, December 10; Saturday, December 11; and Sunday, December 12 (Sunday ceremonies will only be held if needed due to COVID 19) in the Multipurpose Building. Please note that students earning certificates independent of degrees are not recognized at commencement ceremonies. Invitations to the Commencement Ceremonies will be emailed to students during the fall 2021 semester.  Fall degree candidates must apply for graduation by the September 15 deadline to receive an RSVP invitation. The deadline to fill out the RSVP survey (link included in the email) is October 15.

This web site contains extensive information about commencement, including a schedule of activities. If you have specific questions or need more information email graduation@ucmo.edu.

CEREMONY INFORMATION

  • Students may not request to change to a different ceremony time - no exceptions. All spring and summer graduates received an email in early-October from graduation@ucmo.edu with an RSVP form.
  • Questions about graduation and commencement may be sent to the Registrar's Office at graduation@ucmo.edu, please include your full name and student number.
  • Graduation candidates must check their UCM Email accounts often. Important graduation information is sent to degree candidates throughout the semester.
  • Your level (undergraduate or graduate), academic college, and/or academic program determines which ceremony you are to attend. If you are unsure which college or school your major/program belongs to, you can find a listing here. * Please note, not all teaching programs are in the College of Education.
  • Students pursuing an Individualized Major (not General Studies) should attend the ceremony with the college associated with their Individualized Major.

To make the commencement ceremonies as safe as possible:

  • We will limit the number of graduates per ceremony
  • Students will be allowed to bring a maximum of 7 guests to the ceremony
  • Masks are required to enter the arena and must be worn during the entire ceremony by all in attendance.  Students and guests will be expected to bring their own masks.
  • Student seat assignments will be made by college/program and last name.  Name cards and copies of the printed program will be placed on your seat before you arrive.
  • There will be no student processional - students will be seated at their assigned seat upon arrival.
  • There will be no hand-shaking on the stage when you cross, but you will pose for a photo with President Best with your mask on.
  • There will be professional photos taken of each student with masks off at different locations (not on the stage with Dr. Best).
  • We will also be live-streaming the events so that additional guests can watch from the safety of their homes.
