The Marching Mules
The Marching Mules are the most visible and one of the most popular of the university's performing ensembles. Their members represent nearly every major at UCM. The Marching Mules perform for every home football game, lead UCM's annual Homecoming Parade, and perform in exhibition at the annual Festival of Champions. Every Student receives a minimum $600 Service Award, paid 50% prior to the football season and 50% at the conclusion of the football season.

Students move to campus prior to the start of the fall semester, for pre-season marching band camp.

Marching Band is a class (MUS 1005) in which all members must be enrolled. Rehearsals: Tue/Thr - 3:30pm → 5:30pm

Special auditions are required for Drumline and Guard members.

Wind Ensemble
UCM's premier concert band, the Wind Ensemble is open to all UCM students by audition. Auditions are held during the first week of classes, each fall semester.

The Wind Ensemble performs at least two full concerts each semester in UCM's Hendricks Hall Auditorium, as well as a Chamber Winds recital in the Department of Music's Hart Recital Hall, and is also an important part of the university's commencement exercises at the end of each semester. In addition, this ensemble also frequently tours throughout the region. Significant recent performances include the 2014 Southwest Division Conference of the College Band Directors National Association, at the University of Arkansas, 2008, 2011, and 2015 performances at the Missouri Music Educators Association Conference, featured performance in New York's famed Carnegie Hall (2010 & again in 2016), and at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts. The Wind Ensemble performs the finest contemporary repertoire for wind ensemble and concert band, as well as some of the band's most important core literature, and they are actively involved in the commissioning and premieres of new works for winds & percussion by many of the world's most important established and emerging composers.

Symphonic Band
The Symphonic Band begins its fall semester rehearsals at the conclusion of the regular football season in preparation for the Winter Bands Concert, and meets twice each week throughout the spring semester. They perform core literature for the concert band, as well as some of the best new works by contemporary wind band composers.

Students are encouraged to enroll for Symphonic Band (MUS 1010) for the spring semester. Those who are not in the marching band who are interested in the fall Symphonic Band should contact Dr. Jennings, directly.
