International Faculty and Scholar Services

International Faculty & Scholars

The Center for Global Education takes the responsibility of ensuring that the appropriate nonimmigrant status is attained for international faculty, researchers and staff. All questions concerning the employment of a foreign national who requires work authorization should be directed to our office. In collaboration with the Office of Human Resources, we will assist departments and internationals with visa advising.  We are also responsible for the administration and oversight of UCM's J-1 Visa Exchange Visitor Program for scholars, professors, researchers and student interns. Our office acts as the liaison between our visitors and the U.S. government agencies that have jurisdiction over their stay in the U.S.
