Learn what it means to be a MULE

Held prior to the beginning of fall semesters, UCM kickoff is a program designed to ease the transition for new UCM students. During the program students will become acquainted with campus and attend sessions to increase their success at UCM, all while creating life-long friendships. Students participating in the program prior to the fall semester will have the opportunity to beat the move-in rush, watch a movie on the football field, learn about campus services and meet with the faculty of your department. Get ready for the semester with this Getting Started Check List.

Designed for Your Success

At the University of Central Missouri, we know the transition to UCM can be difficult. That’s why we created The UCM Kickoff, a program to help you make an easy transition into your first year. Through the program you’ll learn about UCM traditions, campus culture, ways to create new friendships and about all of the helpful resources on campus.

If you are a new student that is participating in band or on an athletic team, do not worry you will still be included in this program. Therefore, you will be able to do both!

Residential students participating in the kickoff will move in on Thursday, Aug 13 (9 a.m.- 1p.m.).  Students who are living at home and commuting to campus will join us later that day at 4 p.m. in the Student Recreation & Wellness Center. By registering for this weekend program, you are expected participate for the whole weekend.
