Comprehensive Review Process
At the University of Central Missouri, all students are encouraged to apply because
we individually review each application. Your personal excellence is defined by more
than academic achievement. We take a holistic approach to reviewing your total preparation
for college which includes many factors, such as: high school GPA, ACT or SAT scores,
personal statements (essay), academic letters of recommendation, leadership experience,
community service, extracurricular involvement and your own unique accomplishments
in high school. We are interested in learning much more about your preparedness, motivation
and potential within the unique context of your own experience.
Test Optional Admission
Students applying to UCM with a 2.75 GPA or higher may be admitted without submitting
an ACT or SAT test score. Students admitted as test optional will also receive a

*Please note that test scores are not required for NCAA certification for the 21-22
academic year. However, test scores are still required for both certain UCM academic
direct program admissions as well as certain scholarships mentioned above.
**Students admitted under test-optional admissions are still eligible to earn a higher
Red and Black Scholarship with submission of a qualifying ACT score and GPA. See the
